Small village on the edge of a cliff known for its religious city, a place of pilgrimage and a thousand-year-old sanctuary. This world famous medieval city will take you back to the Middle Ages.
Sarlat-la-Canéda (30 kms)
Commonly known as Sarlat, medieval town and historic capital of the Périgord Noir, today constitutes one of the most beautiful medieval ensembles in Europe with no less than 66 listed monuments.
Padirac chasm (60 kms)
It is a natural cavity measuring approximately 35 meters in diameter and 103 meters deep, revealing the underground river Padirac. Just over 1 km of galleries are open to the public.
Saint Cirq Lapopie (60 kms)
Saint Cirq Lapopie is a medieval city with several castles and houses which constituted the seigniorial fort of the village, a Gothic church built in 1522, a towpath and artists’ workshops, paintings and sculptures.
Lascaux cave (60 kms)
Located in the town of Montignac-Lascaux, the Lascaux cave was discovered in 1940 by 4 teenagers. It is one of the most important decorated caves of the Upper Palaeolithic.
